StaticMultimediaTalks To Marc About Touring
Marc McKnight spoke with StaticMultimedia about touring. Below is an excerpt.
Static Multimedia: Do you have any tour stories? The link can be found here.
Marc: Well, there was this one girl in Miami that was just hammered out of her mind. And you know, semi-attractive, and she's just HAMMERED, like sloppy drunk, right? And she somehow makes her way on our bus. She wasn't, like, at the show with us. She just wanted to see the bands, you know what I mean? So she got on our bus and we kept trying to pass her off to one of our friends or one of the crew members but she was like, "No, I want one of the band!" And she was just like riding people and stuff. So she goes in the back with someone…who shall remain nameless, and they were, you know, enjoying themselves in the back, but she had left her phone up front. So one of our friends took a picture of his balls and sent it to everyone on her contact list and said, "Sorry, I'm busy being a nut!!" So yeah, that's a pretty good story.

Marc Talks Marketing COTD
A few days before COTD was released Marc sat down with evolvor.com to talk about how they have marketed Congregation of the Damned. Below is an excerpt.
How has the web changed the way you interact with your fans?
I just makes the world instantaneous. It allows us to communicate with fans, or fans to communicate with us in ways that we’d never have dreamed of when this band started. The main thing the web changed, and this is the part that I think affected the music industry the most… it made fans HUNGRY. Bands/labels are having to think of new and creative ways to keep their fans excited and interested.

Swords For My Men!
It seems that Alex Varkatzas has given his groomsmen some, dare I say, awesome gifts. See Marc's Twitter post below!
Ashley Saller (Brandon's lovely wife) also twittered yesterday to let us know she was off to Alex's wedding rehersal.
I believe Alex's wedding is today. I cannot confirm this yet but I will update you as news pours in. So, ahead of time, congrats to the new (or soon to be new) couple!
Correction: Alex's wedding is Sunday, October 4th.

RoadRunner Records Interviews Marc & Travis
RoadRunner Records (Atreyu's international label) uploaded an interview with Travis and Marc where they purge their thoughts about Congregation of the Damned. Below are some of the hightlights. They say that the new album has some of their heaviest moments, catchiest choruses, as well as some ballads.
Marc and Travis both agree that the opening track on COTD, "Stop! Before It's Too Late and We've Destroyed It All", is one of their favorites. They also talk about how much they enjoy performing "Bleeding is a Luxury."
A funnier moment is when Marc can't remember the title to the album's first track. "It's like Stop... something something something...," he says. They also mention their upcoming tour as well as Alex's upcoming marriage.
Travis tells the interviewer he plans on giving Alex a gift certificate to Target on his wedding day (assumingly a joke).
As for plans after their US Tour, Travis says they say they are still in the process of hammering things out and that the time now is the "calm before the storm."
You can watch the interview here. Thanks to VarkatzasFans on Twitter for pointing this interview out.
